British Columbia has a very diverse landscape from gentle rolling hills to some of the most rugged mountainous terrain imaginable. It has some of the best Grizzly hunting in the world, Huge Billy Goats and it is home to the widest variety of hunt-able game in North America. Hunting BC has a lot of qualities. Starting with: guaranteed over the counter tags for all species through our outfitters, the option to hunt multiple animals on any given hunt, long seasons that allow you to choose your weapon (Rifle, Bow or Muzzleloader) during the prime hunting dates and over fifteen species to hunt including three in the sheep family and also a sub species of bighorn, the California Bighorn Sheep. British Columbia is truly a hunters paradise!

Our season starts from August 1st to October. The weather is usually stable and the goats’ coats are getting nice as fall sets in and provides us with the first frosty nights. The Skeena and Rocky Mountains of British Columbia are well known for producing record book quality mountain goats. Our goats range in size from 9” to 11” Our success is usually 100% opportunity. The reason for our great success on mountain goat hunts is the terrain. We hunt our goats between 5,000 and 6,000 feet in elevation. In several locations, the hike to the tree-line is only 2 to 4 hours and the use of some cut trails make it quite manageable for most hunters in good physical condition.

The majestic mountain goats are in most people’s opinion the most under rated animal in north America. This is a physically challenging hunt, but is one of the most rewarding of them all. Nearly 90% of the worlds entire population of mountain goats live in BC and our guiding area has a very healthy population of thick horned, large bodied Goats. Mountain goats like the more rugged mountains and can be found anywhere from the mountain peaks to the steep valley canyons. Most of the Billy’s in our area die of old age and have likely never seen a human due to little or no hunting pressure in most areas and plenty of hiding places and inaccessible terrain. Their beautiful furry coats and long black horns along with the terrain they live in makes this the ultimate mountain hunt. We only harvest mature Billy’s and on average have 9 ½ inch horns with big bases. Although the season opens Aug 1 we generally don’t start hunting them till Sept when the hair is longer. This 1/1 hunt can also be combined with either Sheep, Caribou or Moose.

For individuals who have not been guided on a trophy sheep hunt, climb a mountain and spot your first mature bighorn ram, you will know why rocky mountain bighorn sheep are such a sought-after trophy. Wild sheep live in some of North America’s most awesome wilderness. They can be spotted grazing in high mountain basins or bedded lazily on jagged rock outcroppings and shale slides. The British Columbia mountain goat has a majesty all of its own. Spending most of it’s time bedding on sheer rock faces and grazing on lush green outcroppings, mountain goats are a trophy that need to be pursued by any serious hunter. British Columbia mountain goat hunting season starts mid August and runs until mid November.

his is a great goat area with little hunting pressure. Many of these goats in the high mountain passes and alpine lakes have lived out their lives, some never setting eyes upon man. There is one such region which has never been hunted. Another secluded area can be accessed by floatplane only, and possibility of a record book Mountain Goat is good. September of 2013 was the first time in years that it was hunted and my two clients took their goats. If flying is not in your budget, we have several other options, a boat access only place; which is an excellent hunt to combine with a trophy moose or the main valley where an ATV can be driven a portion of the way up the deactivated logging roads to hunt the valleys.

If you're looking for a large horned mature Billy goat that has a good chance of making the book? This is the place. Our hunting area is blessed with some of the highest mountain goat populations in British Columbia. Combine that with the superior genetics found on the BC coast, great guides and scenery that will take your breath away and you have a hunt that most hunters will only dream of. We carefully manage our area so that we only access parts of the area every few years or so. There are many parts of the area that has never been walked into yet. In this area of the BC coast, even a 9 1/2" Billy has a shot at making the Boone and Crocket book. Wonder how?......It's all in the size of the bases.

Many of the goats in these high mountain passes and alpine lakes live out their lives and never see man.
